ADAMS — A fire early Saturday, called in a little after 2 a.m., destroyed a house. Several fire departments remained at the scene at daybreak.
Jefferson County Emergency Management reported that the call at 9 W. Church St. came in at 2:22 a.m. and the scene was cleared at 6:19 a.m.
It is not immediately clear how the blaze began.
